The Shift Washington Can't Ignore
We’re not going back to the way things once were.
I spent time on the air this week debating a colleague from the other side of the aisle. He talked about confirmation hearings, he talked about traditional politics, and he talked about the natural order of government things. It’s that kind of thinking that got us here. It’s time to come to the realization, we’re not going back to the way things once were.
The voters have spoken and the new Administration is going to turn the whole place upside down. That’s right. Trump is going to nominate the previously un-confirmable. He’s not going to follow the natural or historical order of things and nothing is going to stand in his way.
And if you step outside of Washington, D.C. you’ll see that the sentiment is elation. They don’t care how it was once done before. They want change and they want it now.
I don’t like change anymore than anyone else, but it’s happening.
